which bass's look has grown on you?

My Conklin GT4. At first look I did not care for it at all. Sure I liked the finish and neck but not the over all shape. That long top horn I guess.

Now I think they are very sharp looking. Sounds and plays great too.

Fender Jazz bass for me as well. When I first started playing bass I think I liked just about any style bass better than a Fender Jazz. The more oddly shaped, the better. As I've gotten older the Jazz just does it for me.

Hmmmm, when I come on out of my rock vibe I like the Gibson T-Bird, clasic bad ass look.Nothing tops it cept may be a bass with a Telcaster body style. I'm old school like a MOFO.

I love the Palimino Burst and baby single cutaway stlye of my Hofner Club.

I love that lemon yellow color of my 54 Japanese RI P Bass with the black pick guard removed.

Without a doubt, the short scale Gibson Eb3. For a long time, it didn't make much of an impression on me, but lately, I seem to have the jones for one. Channeling my inner Jack Bruce I think.

I think you're right

I have always loved Ritter's basses, though, from the very first time I saw them. Oddly, the Jupiter is still the one design that I'm not too crazy about - but I could see myself ordering an Okon, a Seal, a Classic, or perhaps even a Raptor some time in the (distant) future

On topic, I think it for me was a Rick (4001/4003) - now I love the looks of them, but my right hand unfortunately doesn't love playing them

Another Fender convert - thought they were too big and old fashioned in every way, especially hated the neck/body joint. It was so bad I blamed myself for the months it took me to get used to the Soundgear I bought first, when it was my own body telling me I needed more wood in my hands.

Now I'm totally over the smooth and thin is better phase. I'd love a baseball bat of a neck right now

I never hated them as much as P-basses (which I no longer hate, but am merely indifferent to), but I never liked them either. Over the years they've grown on me. I borrowed my friend's Jazz Bass for a different tuning at a gig recently and now I honestly quite like the Jazz Bass.
