hello. I just got back into playing live again from a 15 year hiatus. I’m currently playing in an 80s-90s cover band with an Ampeg SVT into an old Hartke transporter 410. I would like to get another cab as I never really liked the sound of the Hartke and my ev 2-15 is way too loud for this band. I was thinking about getting 2 210 cabs. Any thoughts?

JimmyM sometimes goes nuts with 2 AV210 cabs in a vertical stack on top of his. You need discipline not to blow them and a shelf to spread the load into the edges of the amp case.
EV 215 too loud? Is your volume control broke, or is your intent to run your amp at a certain level of saturation? If you going for output drive I would stay away from the 210AV.
FYI...My vintage SVTs sound great at different volume levels.

I was in a similar situation to yours this year; got back in after a long time of not playing. I jumped in with a V4B reissue and 2 svt210avs. Great setup. Agree with DownUnderWonder in that you’ll just need to be careful running the SVT though the 210s for volume. Also, you have to run both, as the SVT needs a 2 or 4 Ohm load; it’s not set up for 8 Ohm loads.

You can use two 210av's with an SVT fine, but like everyone said, keep the volume in the medium range. Wouldn't advise trying to get power tube distortion through them by cranking the volume knob way up, that's for sure! They'll get decently loud, but they have their limits. And don't stack the SVT on top unless you lay them on their sides for a square 410 setup!
