Which do you prefer Steel or Nickel?

From what I know GHS is the only manufacturer using Alloy 52. They also have a trademark on this. Their Progressives and Pressurewounds use it.
Fe is the chemical symbol for iron (latin: Ferrum).

I'm diggin the GHS Progressives. You know I like heavier strings than you do. I play mediums. The progressives have a LOT of exposed core wire you'll have to adjust your action.

Everly also makes B-52's. They're OK, but I like the tension of the GHS stuff better.

GHS Brite Flats (half-rounds) use Alloy 52 as well. And they do get more positive reviews than any other half-rounds in the market.

Thanks, but your gauge would cramp my hands in no time. And all of that after having to do about a complete set up job. I was just curious. I'll stick to my D'Addario 45-130 nickels. I have a new rig you should check out sometime and you could even borrow it if you're interested when I'm off. It's a Greenboy Fearless F112 with a 2 rack space built on for a combo with a Markbass Little Mark Tube 800--total weight 44 lbs. For added oomph , I also have a Baer M112 Series II for a tone that's pure heaven.

I've seen and heard the Nordy when you were filling in with Litt Up at RCS and on video clips. Sounds awesome. We'll be at LC the Friday after Thanksgiving I'm told.

I dunno if GHS has any sort of ownership. But, there are other brands which have Alloy 52 strings and/or alternative alloys which have similar goals.
