Which DR strings for my 4-string Stingray with neck status?

I use Fat Beams on all of my basses except for my fretless which has Sunbeams. I think I tried Hi Beams once and I thought they were too bright. I've used RotoSound Swing Bass 66. I feel like Fat Beams are warmer and last a helluva lot longer - They typically last me 3 - 4 month. DR marketing talks about compression winding on a round core feeling more flexible. Pure Blues are Nickel on a round core. Fat Beams are SS on a round core. I have a very mid-forward tone and I get a lot of articulation and punch using Fat Beams -- give 'em a try. YMMV.

I'm partial to flatwounds on a Stingray these days so perhaps Legends if they must be DRs.
I have DR Legends (flats) on one of my HH StingRay Specials. I have T.I. Jazz Flats on my other one. They both sound really good. BUT... If I'm really rockin' out and digging in hard I prefer the Legends because of the higher tension. The Legends also sound good on the mellower stuff. The T.I.'s are great too if you have a light or "normal" touch.

I've had the Lo Riders on my Stingray since December. They were great at first, but now I still get good treble, but the sound is becoming a bit dry. Maybe it's time to change them? The sound is less lively.

Hey, so while I really liked the Lo Riders on my Jazz Bass, the Lo Riders on my Stingray with a Status Graphite neck might be too responsive. Maybe there's too much stiffness between the neck and the strings. I think I'll try the Fat Beams on it.
