Over the weekend, I was going through a stack of old Bass Player magazines. One issue, from 1990, had a small blurb about Steve Swallow---it indicated that he used a copper pick--thin. Unfortunately it did not name the manufacturer.
There are a handful of companies that make copper picks. Steve Clayton and DR Guitar Picks are two that come to mind.
Jim Dunlop Hot Licks copper (.010 gauge) as of 1993 ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]). These have been discontinued, no idea whether he stocked up or switched brands since.
