Which GAS will you succumb to in 2013?

I always have my eyes open for more Fender Precision basses, however this year and hopefully when I get my tax return I would love to get a Orange Terror Bass 500 or Mesa Carbine M6, Walkabout or Big Block 750. Whichever can be found and bought first. But of course the new year is young and a lot can change.

Only thing in the plans at this moment is to add a 12 to go with my 410 half stack for a little more thunder. As far as models go we'll have to see what new toys become available....But I would like to have that fender blacktop jazz back again.

I turn 50 later this year, so I am going to get myself something nice. Perhaps one of the new vintage fenders, but I am also considering a Lakland or an EBMM.

Great idea. I'm 50 in July. I just decided that I'm getting an early 70's Fender Jazz. There is 'burst one in the Classifieds that I almost have to have. It will be from my wife but she doesn't know it yet. She thinks she bought me a Mediterranean cruise but that was for her :) I just need to get a job now. :eyebrow:

Well, I made the thread, I guess I have to reply.

In 2013, I really want to kick the tires on a higher end Alembic. My Persuader and Epic have whetted my apatite an I want more. I may have to move some stuff out to make this happen.

I also really wang to make 2013 the year I try a Dingwall. At this point, I'm waiting to see one pop up in my local GC.

My main bass GAS goals for 2013 are
F Bass BN6 (Also winning the $7K dream build contest to begin F Bass #2) :)
MusicMan Bongo 6
used Fender or new Warwick Artist Series Steve Bailey Fretless 6
Ibanez Gerald Veasley budget model GVB36
I'm also leaning heavily toward the new Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI :)

Mines already out of the way...a 2x18

Hopefully that will keep my GAS down.

NICE!

I have to admit I want the schecter SLS 28" 8 string guitar. Yeah I know it's right in our frequency zone, but it is a beast and I play both instruments, although bass is my primary. Low end riffage is what we do best....
