Which head should I get for my 8x10?

I recently bought a SWR Workingman's tower 8x10 cabinet (which holds 800watts at 4 ohms), and I can not decide which head to use with it. I have narrowed it down to a few heads that I really like (unless someone has a better suggestion). BTW I play everything from classic jazz to Motorhead.

Here are the heads:
Ampeg SVT 450H *used*
Ampeg SVT 3-PRO *used*
Acoustic B600H
Marshall MB450H

Ampeg SVT 3-PRO gets my vote, out of those choices. But for the versatility you need I'd go with a GK 1001RB.

I would say SVT3, change out the tubes and it will sound alot better. Or atleast mine did.

well, for motorhead, the marshall. I would say the ampegs though, they have a tone which is acceptable in most genres, hence the whole "industry standard" thing

Edit: and by "ampegs", I meant the real SVT, not the b2r in a fat suit.

I'd say this, but you seem to be going for the tubes, so i'd say an ampeg of your choice.

i run an svt3 pro through a 810 cab and its fine,the sound is good and its plenty
powerful enough,

I did once with my friend's Bassman 300 and Ampeg 8x10. To state it mildly, it drew alot of attention.

I have no opinion on the TC Electronics or the Marshall, but I wouldn't use either of those Ampegs. I owned a SVT-350 and a 3Pro and didn't like either one of them. They couldn't drive a 4x10, let alone an 810.

+1 for GK1001RBII. It has more than enough power and tone to drive my fridge.

My vote is going to go to the GK1001rbII also. Great little versatile head.

GK1001RB as well.
GK + 810 + Stingray == killer tone, everytime. Just make sure you crank it up.

Honestly I didn't think of Ashdown or Angular, but now I will consider it. Also, my budget is about $750.
