Which Ibanez bass should I get?

Another vote for the EHB1505 if you like the headless look. The Nordstrand Big Splits are a great pickup, the bass is light and comfortable and the string spacing adjustable. That said, I would be playing each of those you photographed and they all have strengths and are different enough one will suit. Or, buy the cheapest and put big splits in it!

The BTB basses are fantastic, but are generally pretty heavy. I would suggest the blue SR in the middle. The caribbean finishes are beautiful!

I own a SR 1200 Premium and my Nordstrand Big Singles are noisy. If any of the basses pictured come with Nordstrand Big Splits instead I’d go that route unless noise doesn’t bother you. Big Splits might not be as ‘bity’ but they’re dead quiet.

I think you and I had a Nord vs Aggie debate a few months back. We must have very different tastes.

I shift my RH quite a bit for different tones — the multi scale bridge got in the way of that. I couldn’t comfortably get the dog and pop out of the D and G that I like to.

Visit a dealer if you can, to check out the size difference. SRs are 34" and smaller/slimmer in general, BTBs are 35" and bit bigger and chunkier.

I find the SRs are more comfortable for me overall, but the string spacing is a bit narrow

I can't really say mine was heavy. But it was up there with my Les Paul's and made my shoulder sore after a marathon woodshedding session (never gigged it).

I'm old and this is one of the reasons I like SRs. My SR300F is like seven pounds.

If it is heavy get a GruvGear Duo Strap. Wide, soft strap goes across both shoulders and spreads the weight far more evenly & is black so no-one much notices it. Bass is also more stable which suits me but not all players and no mods required to the bass. Changed my life, literally.

SRs are awesome, but I like the BTB6. Then again I have one too (846V).

I probably would like the shorter scale BTB. I loved the sound of the BH2s and the feel of the body, not the scale length and weight.
