Which Ibanez bass should I get?

it should be lightweight and cutting through distorted guitars well (bity).

I have an eye on these three, but can’t decide.

Any of those will work. I have used Premium models in metal before with no issue. In fact I have used them in country to metal in bands with two guitars and keys. These basses hold their own.

The two SRs are lighter than the BTB generally speaking.

Pick the one you think feels and sounds best, get to know it and learn to EQ it for your music situation. They have great and versatile pickups. Enjoy!

Either of the SR's would do well. When I bought my SR1200 the previous owner described it as a "total rock monster of a bass" and he wasn't wrong. I've put flats on it to tame the top end jangle which suits my playing more but you can get so many tones out of these.

If it's hair metal go the blue one..... any other kind of metal I'd go for the other one.

I think anyone of them would work mine, there isn't much difference between the soundgears, the BTB has (IIRC) wider string spacing and is 35 inch scale so that could be a factor. Out of the three I'd be inclined to get the SR1345 but I do think @Killed_by_Death has a point about the EHB1505 it has big splits, but the factor that I think has a big impact to the sound is a sweepable midrange.

I hope Ibanez make the preamp that's in the EHB standard across their line.

Comparing the SR Nordstrand big singles with the BTB Aguilars which has the most attack and bite ?
the aguilars have drive punch and grind, just how i like it. The nordstrands i had in my 1200e had, I think, what you are describing as attack and bite. They did not suit my playing style and tone goals.

I only know the Aguilars frm the sr1200, (the dcb? id have to look it up) and they are great

Of those 3, the BTB only because of the string spacing. I think the spacing on the SR's (non wide that is) is 16.5 which is too narrow for me to play finger style.

If any/all Ibanez are on the table, then agree with @Killed_by_Death

Good Luck!

Well since all three of those basses in the picture aren't what i would call "budget" ibanez models I'll take it that price isn't a huge issue. If that's the case I'd say go with one of the newer Ibanez SR2405W basses with the aguilar super doubles in them, it's not just that they sound great but the spacing on those basses is 18mm which is in my opinion much comfier than the standard 16.5 spacing that the 5 string soundgears usually come with. Pretty sure they're a standard 34" scale as well. Plus they are significantly lighter than BTB basses which a pretty hefty beasts.
