I probably would like the shorter scale BTB. I loved the sound of the BH2s and the feel of the body, not the scale length and weight.

Sure, my 846V is BEADGC. There is a thread here where someone redid the 845V to BEADG. I think it required the nut to be filed to adjust for the thicker strings and then a normal set up and intonation.

They are lovely instruments.

EDIT: Forgot to point out there is a zero fret, so the "nut" is really just a string retainer so modding should be a DIY or very inexpensive luthier mod.

SRs are awesome, but I like the BTB6. Then again I have one too (846V).

I keep reading everyone saying that the BTB's are heavy. I must of gotten lucky then since my BTB740 is actually lighter than my SR870.

Just watched the last few laps on Youtube again... I always think of it as '84 but it may have been 1987 or 88 when it started to rain and Brockie was in 3rd on slicks and suddenly it wasn't all the Sierras way. An absolute masterclass is driving loose and sideways.

Absolutely. I used to rally, so watching driving like you referred to impresses me mightily.

Honestly with those blemishes I’m surprised that wasn’t listed as a B-stock instrument. I had an ANB205 I got for half price because of blemishes and it being labeled a B-stock instrument. There was slight flaws in the finish in the upper horn and the pickup routing was slightly off, this was enough for them to knock price down. With the blemishes on the back of that bass I would contact the seller and inform them of the issue. Either have a new bass sent your way or give you a significant refund. A brand new bass at full cost shouldn’t have those blemishes :/
