If your looking for a great combo for around $350 try looking for a gk mb 115. Mines been great! Lightweight, 200watts and a great tone. They run around $399 but I'm sure you can find a 10 to 15% off and free shipping online.

this shoulda been a poll, but of all of them (knock on wood), GK's been great.

Thats actually the exact GK I was looking at...or the MB112...same wattage but with a 12in speaker. It runs for $299

And I know they are all great. Thats what is so hard about deciding. I can basically get the same range of combos from each brand which is why I need lots of input from people who have personal experience with them.
I usually don't like combos either but I don't have room in my house for my stack which is why I have a need for a smaller combo.
As far as the amps you have used...How does the sound compare between the GK, Ashdown, and SWR? What about overall build quality?

I'm biased towards GK. ;] Though I'm not sure what exactly $350 will get you. My 1001RB-II took me back £600 before I even got a cab for it.
You might want to look at Carvin's Invalid Link Removed as well. Their gear has consistently made me happy though I haven't tried this particular series. (Do a TB search for other opinions, of course).
addendum to my post for clarity----the Ibanez combo amp is PERFECT for my home office for practice, and was only 200 bucks I think, but I would not use it live, but in a pinch in a small cafe, it would work fine.
I will not be using this combo live, however, on occasion a few of my friends will bring their combos to my house to jam a little and I need to be able to be heard with them. So I need at least 50w. Anything less and I will be drowned out.

Both are 200w combos. One with a 12 in speaker and the other with a 15 in speaker.
I'd look for a used Fender Bassman 250/115 or an Ampeg B-100R. They are both really sweet sounding and bulletproof.
I am curently using GK and have been happy with it. The sound isn't exactly what I want but its close. I am considering switching to Eden but unfortunately, the closest dealer is 100 miles away.
