Which Low F# suits my bass?

So lately i got my hand on a Harley Benton BZ-7000 7-string bass.It's a 35'' scale bass, strung through body only.My intention is to get rid of the High F & get low instead.
I emailed Bassstringsonline.com as well as Conklin about a month ago with no reply so far, regarding which string(s) would be suitable to cover such distances.'Circle K' is not an option, i know which is why i got interested in Conklin-SIT.
Anyone out there with a suggestion or two?I'd prefer to buy a set or 7 strings individually from the same manufactorer but i'm open to everything...

I ordered a Rotosound F# from bassstringsonline to use and really didn't like it. I use the Dean Markley 7 string set and ended up using a second B and tuning it down. It sounds good, although a bit floppy, but I don't use it that much so it's not that big of a deal to me. Why is Circle K not an option?

I 'm currently using 175 gauge Roto 66 in one of my 34" 6er tuned low F#. It's not that good sounding also. It seems like the tapered part of the string is too long for the kind of bridge of the bass (it has top load bridge), thus making its own intonation which interfere the proper intonation.

From what I've read, I need to shorten the tapered part by adding some kind of small tube in between the bridge end and the string ball end.

So, in OP's case which has a string-thru bass, the Roto 175 string might fit better than in mine.

Don't mock the low F# I'm tuned two whole step lower D0(18.35hz) on a 34" scale through 10" speakers.
If you want a good sounding F# you will need:
A good solid bass you're willing to modify, I'm talking nut, bridge, maybe even tuners.
A good amp not necessarily giant subwoofers but something that's not going to fall apart on you.
The right strings and for me (F# since 1999) no one makes a better low F# string than Circle K Stings . . . or Kalium . . . whatever it is now

As far as I know the Harley Benton (mine arrived last week) can be strung from the bridge instead of through the body. Certainly the individual bridges look as if they were designed that way.

I was contemplating a low F# (saw 175 mentioned elsewhere I think) on my Harley.

Being a 35" scale and (preferrably) through body stringing I was wondering whether a normal long scale string would be OK. Though there usually seems a lot of spare string when replacing the set on the 34" Yamaha.

I was wondering the same thing, whether 'long scale' means 'long enough' to go thru but it's up to the individual manufactorer.

i emailed Thomann last week about stringing the bass on top & they strongly advised me against it!!Be extra carefull...
