Which makers have 5 strings with 34" scale and 19mm spacing?

The Brubaker Brute is 34" scale, 19mm spacing, and the one I had was pretty light by 5-string standards.

I was adamant about 19mm spacing, too, until I got an 18mm Yamaha BB425X. Got used to that - still own it - and now my main bass is a 17.5mm Stingray.

I've played enough models now to know that I prefer a standard 34" scale and 19mm spacing at the bridge. 18mm like on Fenders and Yamahas seems like it would not be hard to adapt to however.

Some Yamahas are 18mm, like my BB415. Others, however, are 19mm, such as my BBG5. (I bought the latter thinking it would be 18mm.)

Yamaha 5s generally seem to vary between 18 and 19mm. I seem to recall hearing about some very, very early Yamaha 5s that were closer to 17.5, but I might be making that up too. Generally, used Yamaha 5s are one of the few safe budget choices for those of us who need >18mm spacing (Squier aside).

Do you also care about spacing at the nut? 1 7/8" nut with 19mm (3/4") at the bridge feels mighty wide to me.

And about Pedullas - mine was 1 7/8" at the nut and 17.5 mm at the bridge. Just saying. Felt great, though. Best neck ever.

Although I don't know the string spacing, the Squier Affinity 5 string jazz bass is a 34" scale. I've actually played one, and the string spacing is quite comfortable. I'm with you- I hate narrow string spacing.

They're 18mm. I've owned two of them. I'm fine at anything over 18mm although I prefer 19mm.

edit: The Affinity J 5 is relatively light too. I'd guess 8, 8.5lbs on both of them I've had.

FWIW Fenders are 18.3mm and I don't notice the difference switching between my 19mm Callowhill.
