Which multi-modulation to pick

The MS70cdr is on my wish list but for a bass player the way tho go is the MS60b. All of the efx choices are tuned for bass and imho a bit better rendered. I have two that I am constantly using here and there.
I want the cdr because I also record gtr and keyboard parts plus there are some pretty interesting looking additional choices. FWIW I am also looking to pickup a MS50g if I come across one cheap to replace my ageing AdrenaLinnIII.

Different strokes or as a much lesser man once said ' it is what it is ' . For a cheap little box it is a wonder, a Swiss Army knife, it ain't the best tool or even better tool but it will certainly do in a pinch.

thanks! Totally missed that one. How is it on bass?

I haven't used the MOD 11, but the OCEAN 11 is amazing. The reverbs work well across the frequency spectrum. I have a baritone guitar strung like a Bass VI in A-standard, and they work on every string. I'd guess that, if the MOD 11 is built on the same circuitry/architecture, you will have a good experience.

My chorus just died. The light turns on, but nothing happens to the signal. It's a sign! Just haven't made up my mind yet

I like modulation, but don't use it in a band setting, only to play around with at home. So for that I want to buy a mutli-modulation pedal. Problem is, there are quite some to pick from, so which one would you pick?

I'm looking for pedals that are easily available in Europe, so sadly something like the Utility Knife is not on the table

What I'm looking for
- Under $ 300
- At least a phaser, flanger and chorus
- Controllable and editable without the use of an app
- Easily available in Europe (ordering from the US is an import tax hell)

Boss MD-200
Pro: Fits my pedalboard perfectly, The Multi Overtone looks like a nice extra effect, 4 presets available under the memory footswitch
Con: Not a lot of bass focused reviews (this is a con for most of them, that's why I opened this thread )

Alexander Pedals Wavelength
Pro: Seems to do what I want
Con: See above

Tsakalis AudioWorks Galactic Multi Mod
Pro: Possible to stack the effects
Con: See above

Pro: the mods that I need, cheapest of the bunch
Con: Wasn't a big fan of the Neuro app

The Expensive Option
The following will be too expensive for me, but I know people will mention them anyway, because they're great:

also - “import tax hell”? What country do you live in? In France, Italy and UK I only got charged if I didn’t use the postal service and instead used UPS, DHL etc

the Netherlands. Above €22 you need to pay import duties and above €150 you need to pay import duties and sales tax. So no. I won't be ordering anything from outside the EU.

@Deleted member 132197 I imagine pretty good. Pretty much every Wampler pedal I have used works well for guitar and bass.

I've got the Alexander Wavelength. I like it for some things and it sounds pretty damn good with bass, esp since the ranges of the modulations are either well voiced for it or adjustable to it.

The speed setting doesn't get as slow as I like for the phaser or flanger, but having blend for the phaser makes it really work, and it's a thick & chewy 8-stage one.

16 presets (with MIDI! 4 accessible without it) ain't bad and it's self-contained. Might be worth a whirl

I found a good deal on a second hand MD-200, so that's my modulation covered for now.

Sadly I haven't been able yet to try it in a band setting , but it allowed me to try out a lot of modulation at the same time and helped me discover modulation that I really liked. So for that it was worth the price of admission.

I do like the choruses on it and can get some fun sounds out of the flanger. And the multi overtone is fun as hell. But I do feel most of the effects work better on guitar than on bass.

That being said, it's still on my board and I haven't found a reason to remove it. I did add a JAM pedals Ripple to my board recently.
