Seriously, I love them all. If I had to pick one, I'd take an HH Stingray. The Sabre is a great choice as well, IMO.
The Armada is such a great guitar that it will make you want to swap instruments.

I've never played a bad Musicman bass. I've owned a couple Stingray 5's, and have played just about everything else they make, bass wise. I've yet to find a dud.
Classic Ray 5 H. I have played a bunch of the HH and HS models. I'm not sure why, but they don't do exactly what a classic Ray does. Same goes for the three band EQ. If it had a mid sweep I would be all for it. But whatever frequency the mids are set to just doesn't do it for me. Plus, you can bring out mids by cutting bass and treble too.
The Sabre is my choice, unless you play a 5 in which case an HH Stingray.
stingray hh. they're generally heavy so shop around for a light one.
sterling hh is a little better ergonomically for me...but i'm a sucker for the traditional stingray sound.

Stingray SR5. Especially the 1993 to 2008 models, but the new ones are great, too. Had 4 so far, not a bum in the bunch.
I like the 3-band pres. I set the tones to flat and never touch them. Except to bring down the highs when a less agressive tone is requested.

I like the Sterlings better than Stingrays, especially the Sterling Classic. But, I imagine that I would also like the caprice and cutlass if I ever see one in the wild.
I'll always have a soft spot for pre EB Sting Ray basses.
Always loved their bridges with the adjustable foam. So useful... so simple... so smartly laid out. I don't see why more companies didn't/don't make their own versions of it.
Sterling, or SLO specials for what I like. My Stingray is an HH and has a pretty beefy neck. It sounds killer, but my Jazz neck basses feel better for my hand.

The Caprice! But I also have a Sterling by Music Man Ray34 CAFL (classic active fretless lined) with the 2-band pre that I love. It has an ultra slim nut width that I love. It also has had a switch added to toggle between series and parallel ... I love series much more than the stock parallel.

Theyre all great. Nothing like a good stingray but the bongo is my runaway favorite. Its been the ultimate swiss army knife bass for me.
Tie between the new Cutlass and the venerable Stingray 5. The Cutlass is sort of a modern take on a P-Bass with easier truss rod adjustment and a very fast neck. The Stingray 5 is simply a modern classic.
stingray H. BUT only after a layer of gunstock wax on the neck. then it's perfect.
