if that fender is used it is priced too high. same with Ibby if used. both are great instruments, but feel VERY different. You will need to hold each to see which you prefer.

I don't think a $4200 bass in California is a viable option for the OP in Iran.

It might be the only Buzzard in the country.
I also have a bunch of Person friends dating back to the mid 70's exodus after the Shah fled.

These guys like to go big.

to the OP, i would go with the Ibby. Very nice, versatile basses and usually pretty light. The Jazz is a great bass but can be heavy.

Yes Mexican made list are these but because other here say bad things about them ,I thought they are not the much valuable.

Both are great basses. Whichever you like better. To echo others, the ibanez is a very nice bass if you can get along with a super thin neck.

I think if for you if you like the active bass sound, go with the Ibanez. It's a little bit cheaper and it sounds like the preamp in those basses would be super versatile and useful for playing different genres. If it were me, I'd choose a Jazz bass simply because the Ibanez tone isn't my thing.

All things being equal, the Fender will hold its value better, if you decide to sell or trade it in a few years. It seems that this is what you really are asking -- what is the best VALUE. If you really want to know what is the best bass, you would need to play each one to decide.

The Fender will hold its resale value better in the long run, true, but the Ibanez has more value right now for the player. The Ibanez gets my vote.

I like thin neck I didn't try jazz bads neck but in my fiver Yamaha have profile of jazz bass and it's the best fit .
I have small hands that playing some basses like mtd or this big five string work at all .

I think about second part ,I wanna a four string as good as my fiver even better in sound and built quality so something that is a keeper and I can play a lot without replacing problems and can meet a good live sound from it .kind of sound that have bass to make music fuller but same time my harmonics can be hear by people .

A little my bass neck is big for me so I think a four string help this problem .

If you've got small hands and a preference for slender necks already, then it's a no-brainer. Get the Ibanez.

Over here in North America, there's an irrational attachment to Fender products. Same way we lust after Harley Davidson motorcycles, when various Japanese brands offer more performance and comfort for the money.

In Iran, I suspect that you'll be judged more for the music you make and the tone you produce. Meanwhile, I doubt that having an F on the headstock will do much for your reputation...

Also, the Ibanez can be EQ'd to sound similar to a Jazz using the onboard preamp.

The opposite is not true. Getting modern, active tones out of a passive Jazz will require an additional external preamp, making the Fender even more expensive!

Although fender latley start huge advertising even they changed one of Iran bassist bass with their product but man it sucks.
Really fender can't do it in high price over 2000$ in my opinion for sure .
