dont have much money, im 14 so i dont have a job, have to get by with 20 euro pocket money a week.lol

so i have to make my next purchase count:

Digitech Wammy Pedal
Zvex Wooly Mammoth(FYI: i already have a Big Muff)
Tech 21 Sansamp DI
EHX Microsynth(Have a Boss SYB-5, its very bad)
Some kind of Moog pedal
Other: any other pedal u think i should get?

I LIKE WEIRD-ASS PEDALS!!!!!

Im into alot of alternative music like The Mars Volta, Radiohead, Dillinger, Muse etc...

I LIKE MY BASS TO SOUND FUDGING ODD!!!

Thanks in advance

Octaver is fun times! There are more options for octave pedals out there though that you might want to look into before you buy. EHX: Micro POG, POG, HOG, Octave Multiplexer, Foxrox: Octron, BOSS: PS-3, OC-3, EBS: Octabass, etc etc etc.

If you're looking for a Bass Micro Synth, I'd wait til EHX releases the XO version later this year (potentially!). It's been wildly speculated about on here... :ninja: Other synth pedals of merit are the Chunk Systems Octavius Squeezer and Pigtronix Mothership (both also being released later this year as well, although they will be much pricier :atoz:).

Never used Moog pedals, the Wooly Mammoth, or a SansAmp so I can't really say much about em. I would like to try them though! :D

I'm not sure what kind of music you play, or are into, so I can't really suggest any other pedals. Let us know, so we can all barrage you with opinions. :p

i have a digitech BP50, and a Zoom (forget the model right now) i use them just for practice, but since they're multi-effects you can have some fun just playing around with the different sounds. They're not much more money than a tuner, and they both have a chromatic tuner in them. I think I like the Zoom better of the two (Better sounds) but the digitech also has a drum machine which is cool for practice, and it also shuts down the output when you use the tuner (The Zoom plays through the amp while tuning)

hey, thanks for imput, but for some reason i just dont like multi-fx pedals, mainly due to the fact that i would a big collection of different pedals!

thanks anyway!!

Conor

Well technically the Whammy is a multi-effect pedal...definitley worth looking into though. I've had one for about a year and I still haven't used all of the usable settings for bass in my music yet...but I'm working on it!

hey connor, just want to say:
you're 14 and your into some awsome music and seem to know enuf about fx already, just wanna say respect to you, when i was 14 i didnt even know what a bass was (yeah im pretty dumb) and the fact that ur gna actually save up for this stuff shows dedication, i cant save to save my life, i just sell old pedals on ebay or spend my student loan.

the sansamp is a very useful pedal, but i dont think im alone in saying im getting a bit sick of mine now, its sorta like a really expensive DI box to me now (until the rare occasion when i enter a studio- when it really shines)

id say maybe go for the Bass Micro Synth, its got the octave, the square wave and the filter, im slowly learning that its probably cheaper than the setup im using (qtron+ with boss OC2, MessDrive Hybrid+ and GLX Bass Chorus in the loop). ive not played one but it sounds like alot of fun, and alot of cool and crazy tones out of one box.

also the MXR Bass-Blowtorch has some really cool synthy fuzz (if you're into that sort of sound) i find mine almost hypnotic.
and it can be about as far from the big muff as you want but still 'technically' be a fuzz.
urgh ive gotta be up for work in 5hrs, im going to bed,

oh by the way TaySte - i didnt know the Stereo MemoryMan could do all that,
URGH
I DONT HAVE ANY MORE BLOODY PEDALBOARD FOR THIS STUFF NEVERMIND MONEY!!!
