Which pedal to create this specific fat overdriven tone??

What pedal can get close to the tone in "Dead and Gone" by the Black Keys?

That 17% off is quite the deal! I browsed around and it appears they carry just about every brand of pedals I can think of other than a few very custom builders. Definitely going to start looking at their website more

Prymaxe has been pretty fantastic over the years for me, except for once when they sent the wrong pedal and would not send the correct one until I sent the wrong one back to them. I didn't have time to wait so I just had to re-buy the correct pedal and get a refund on the wrong pedal. I see their side of it though, and Prymaxe is still the first place I look when buying new pedals. They have a fantastic return policy as well.

Thanks, but I actually was referring to the Zeibeck pedals specifically.

As for the Beta, I've got two in my hands right now, it definitely is a sweet choice. :)

Yeah Zeibeck is long gone. They had some pretty cool looking stuff, too. Shame.

And yeah it's hard to beat the SolidGoldFX Beta. I lined up about 10 low gain/thick/fat OD's recently and the Beta is the only one I have left now. I can cover it all (that I need) with that and the B7K.

I was informed that zeibek is no longer in business. you can try finding one on ebay if you want to. I personally dig their gemini drive pedal. it's got a pretty cool sound. warm and aggressive. if I was in the market for a new overdrive for bass, I would go with that pedal.

The pedals do look very cool, but also seem nearly impossible to come by. :(

I'll be sure to put them on my list of ones to keep an eye out for though!

Really it's long gone?...that sucks. I do like their gemini drive pedal. it's got a warm aggressive sound. well I got a darkglass vmt for all my overdrive needs.

Best of luck to you on finding that pedal. if anything, thee solidgold beta and the catalinebread sft can give you thick bass overdrive sounds. the darkglass vmt would be another good choice for a good bass overdrive.

Thanks. I feel quite set for thick overdrive though with my ss/bs Mini, Arc Crimson King, and Hudson Broadcast, among others. :)

Definitely a squelchy fuzz thang going on there. Keep listening, there is a section where the bass and kick drum are soloed for a bit. You could cop that with any of the following (to back up earlier suggestions):

Prunes & Custard
Red Ripper
TAFM

But also the Source Audio Multiwave Bass Distortion, it has some foldback sounds that are similar to the P&C / RR. I think even the Manta has some of these distortion sounds in it plus a whole load of other stuff!
