I thought I was fine until I read through every post. Here I go.

Starting a sentence with "Um," so douchey.

Saying "Imma" instead of "I'm going to"

So many basses for sale claim to be Rare! Or Incredibly Rare!!

Classified sellers who claim this is the best _____ I have ever played! Then really, why would you sell it?

My FAVORITE insult that I I learned here on TB is referring to someone as a "Richard Cranium" it still cracks me up.

But really, the thing that amazes me about this thread is how may KFC posts there are in this thread!

Well you were blowing up my messaging trying to get it from me and I ignored you.

Aww! Now you’ve gone and hurt my hypersensitive hypersensitivities you evil man! Long hysterical whiney outraged message barrage will follow shortly. You have been given fair warning, sir!

Ever have someone like that come back at you on eBay or Reverb? I did last month. Sheesh! And all because I didn’t want to consider taking his SX in trade as part of the deal, which I made the mistake of trying to explain (when asked why) how it wasn’t a comparable instrument to what I was trying to sell. And did I not also say I was “not interested in trades” and that the price was firm in my ad copy?

You’d have thought I insulted his SO and murdered his dog from the PM torrent that followed. :nailbiting: :rage:

These people are out there. Sheesh!

I always ask for a discount no matter what is for sale anywhere on a used forum. Why not?
I tried that here on TB for a couple of lower price pedals and the guy seemed genuinely upset that I asked for a lower price.
I still got him to drop it like five bucks.
If I'm paying full price that somebody asked just because I really want it.
Like the diamond compressor I ordered from somebody here yesterday.

I just came to the phase that I can not more stand phrase like ''Cut through the mix'' etc.

So what's Your most annoying phrase?

Feel free to add Your own nightmares.

Referring to a bass as ‘she’. This makes absolutely no sense to me at all.

Oh I hear you. Why not? Well, my sense of etiquette says it shows bad form. But that’s just me. And I suppose I’ve occasionally paid more than I absolutely needed to because of it. So if asking anyway works for you, why not indeed? :)

I’ve been nice about being asked for a discount or to do a trade even if I’ve said “firm” or “no trades” provided the request was politely worded and seemed reasonable. I don’t take myself so seriously that I’m that easily offended. I figure I can always politely decline just as easily with no skin off my nose if it comes to that.

But this kid (I’m assuming it was a kid because of his numerous misspellings and his awkward slangy sentence structure) must have had the word ‘entitled’ as his middle name. Because he wouldn’t let it go or stop messaging me until I finally (after warning him twice) reported it.

"My neck is ruler flat"!
Really? How's that workin' out for you?
Maybe what you mean to say is "My eyes can't discern the tiny variation from flat in my fretboard".

But, it doesn't matter, cause it's all about the carrots.
Or....the carats. Could be the karats...just depends on the form of currency you prefer.

Oh, and considering the origin of KFC, and the predominance of steam heat in that era, perhaps they meant the chicken was hot like a steam radiator, or the pipes that led to it?
Anyway, the Colonel's birds eat "like buttah" and "cut through the mix" of mashed taters and cole slaw jes' fine. After all, "the flavor's in your fingers", and that's why you lick 'em!

Piping hot goes back to 1386 when Chaucer described steam shooting out the "pipe" of a teapot.
