Which single cab would you gig with?

Again, "good" is subjective in this case - but when compared to the PH810 or Megoliath, they're all mids - little lows and no highs... Honestly, if you A/B'd one with either of those other cabs, you'd swear that the Ampeg had a blanket over the grill, and was missing 1/3 of it's speakers...

IMO, the SVT810e became a standard like the SM58 did - because they work, are durable, don't cost alot, and are readily available - but there are much better choices available for those willing and/or able to spend more...

One of the bands that I practice with has an 810e in the practice room. I have been using it 2-3 times a week for the past couple of months at practice, I'm lazy and its easy to not bring my own cab. It works, but it doesnt sound great to me, or to my band. Every gig, or practice that I actually do bring one of my cabs to, the rest of the band noticies how much better/clearer/deeper my sound is.

Play what works for you, but for me there are a LOT of options that work better than the 810e.
