a quesiton for the experts:
which strings are these in the picture of the professor bass from upton? note the black ball end color and the black of the string itself. a couple of weeks ago I heard these strings (I think) played by a guy at a small club unamplified, with huge sound and they also sounded good bowed. I could contact upton, but I thought I would get more review-type info here. I tried the string ID search at quinnviolins, but I don´t know the peg end color. thanks!
