Which TB'er has the largest bass collection?

I'm not jealous at all. Collecting things just to be collecting can be a real problem with some people. Especially when it gets to the point where it's an obsession.
with fodera basses, or any brand like that (alembics...), you should say it that way :
"I've got "only" 4 " lol
I understand that a lot of people are "blessed" with a little extra to spend on toys and a lot of these guys play bass. So what better way to spend some of your toy money than on basses? Some guys spend it on cars, houses, coins, baseball cards, etc. These guys just spend it on basses. They're collectors and that's their collection.
Yes, it could become an addiction or a compulsion but as long as these guys are living their lives legally and civilly and, most of all, their spouses are cool with their hobby, then I'm totally cool with it. I'm actually hoping to befriend as many of these people as I possibly can, maybe make it on their will or something.

I dont care what anyone says, collecting may be a "problem" but not for the collector who has deep double digit numbers of basses. I for one hate tryingto figure out which of my two i am going to play( HIghets I got was 5 at one time), but if I could collect and horde hundreds of basses, damn right I would. IF only i had a trust fund to dip in to........
I like US collectors
It keeps the instruments in the States as many have left the country when the dollar is weak and they don't seem to come back here; Tons of old Gibsons and Fenders went to Japan in the 80's and I don't believe many came back

I have dibs on some of Tom's stuff. I've thought of the will stuff, but Tom's younger than I am.
in my 45 years of having a high paying career, which i am grateful for. i currently own 98 basses.
No pics, no 'here's all my dreams realized in bass form'.

wow.. I tholuight I was out of control with 30+ Peavey USA basses.. + a bunch of junky Factors, Alembics, pre 70s fenders etc.
I'm starting to forget what they are as they're all stored in hardshell cases.

Lol, I can't even imagine owning more than 5, honestly. Though from an investment standpoint I can see the appeal. If I ever get a decent amount of spendable cash I think I'll snag a couple vintage fenders just to hold onto for 50 years, lol.
If my wife would let me, I'd easily own a couple of dozen at least. As it stands now, I'm down to a mere three basses and six guitars. And that's just because most of them are at the studio out of her eyesight...
