Truthfully, I would want something more accurate than +/- 1 cent for intonation setting...

Double ditto.

Seriously, if you intend on ever doing your own set ups and intonation, the only way to go is a Turbo Tuner or the Peterson. Why not have it on your pedal board?

Buy once, cry once. It'll last for decades.

I even bought a second Turbo Tuner - unbeatable used price, keep it in the gig bag if I leave pedal board at home (jazz gigs).

For stage, any of the ones mentioned in this thread will work fine.

That much is true if you are needing a tuning reference on stage as a performer tuning your own instrument, it is nice to have a high level of accuracy in the tuner but as a stage tuner you shouldn't have that need for that level of detail. Off stage, or as a guitar tech, I'd agree that high accuracy could help

+1 on the Polytone 2.

Pitchblack is great but the display can be hard to see in sunlight - Polytone 2 is the winner there.

good luck!

Don't know if the internals are the same as the poly tune 2 but if you don't care about battery use the mini is awesome. Fast, accurate and small.

I had a boss tu2 and tu3. When the the tu2 came out it was one of the first solid tuner pedals so not all lot of choices. The tu3 was an improvement over the tu2 but I've found with both the response times are really slow and it just takes too long, especially in a gig context to see if you're in tune. I'm reminded of that at a weekly jam where the house bass setup has one.

Another option to condsider is the zoom ms60B. For the price of many standalone tuners you get a very usable built-in tuner/mute and a while range of useful effects.

Polytune mini will not power other pedals.

True only 1 input for powering the pedal itself. The larger Polytune has the extra power jack like some of the Boss pedals. Technically it's not really powering another pedal, just passing through the power from whatever power supply it's plugged into. TBH, I've never found this very useful. If I want to power multiple pedals, I use one of those daisy chain connectors that sell for about $10.

I find it easier to wire my daisy chain up and tuck them neatly under everything and then simply plug the One Spot into the Boss. I guess I could turn it around and power it from the other side easy enough though.

Is there a tuner with the capability of being active whether it's muted or not (i.e. always on)? Currently I have a Pitchblack plugged into the tuner out of my volume pedal, so I can tune while playing or while muted.

Just wondering if there a way around this so I can take the huge volume pedal off my board. Considering an A/B box with "B" going to the tuner (with nothing plugged into the tuner output) and "A" going to the rest of my board.

@ Juanbon: i have the similiar question.
i got the huge Tunerpedal Boss TU-1000 today, but it doesn´t seem that he has this option available, though he has some other cool options.
