Which Used Ibanez ATK?

Really attracted to the ATK right now. Seems like the MM and Rick killer on a budget without giving up much.

@rogerbmiller I saw you are a fan...has anything changed? Should I still seek a 300 series? I want impolite.

The SRX series is a MM killer & definitely would have more output than a 4003.

300 series ATKs are great! If you want that sound, snag one quick!

No pencil necks for me! In fact the atk is probably the only Ibanez as I would ever consider.

My TMB605 is no pencil neck. It has 18mm string spacing at the bridge.

I was so close to getting the AKT 810e. It has all the modern features of a bass that I wanted. Pickups and pickup position, electronics, string through, 3 piece neck, deep neck pocket, truss rod wheel at the heal, hipshot tuners, etc... Thus, if I had room for another bass this would be it.

I've got a Korean made BTB300 with the same pickups as the SRX series & it's got a neck like a Precision.

It's definitely a MM killer, more output than the SRX series.

I've actually played one that had Barts. They are nice but I'm really only into the looks of the ATK. Talman is meh, BTB is too boutiqueish for me.

I could think of a lot uglier than that. Anyway, I'm into the ATK because of the sound first and foremost, and build quality. It looks nice enough for me, but I prefer the looks of many other basses.

Do you know per chance how much the 300 series was new? I cannot find a price for what they were new when released.

GC marks them (Ibanez) at half of what they sold for new, so I'd guess new they were $600.
For Prestige & Premium series that might not be the case, though.

The SRX I bought from them for $300 was originally $590.
