Who’s gigging in Austin this weekend?

Mrs. T and I are in Austin for a conference for a few days. Looking forward to taking advantage of the great music scene while we're in town. Any suggestions about the venues we should check out Saturday and Sunday night somewhere around the Convention Center?

I think EJ postponed his 2022 tour, he was going to play in Austin tonight, not till next year now

A good friend and former bandmate of mine is playing tonight just south of Austin (not sure if it's near the convention center as I don't know Austin), and if you like singer-songwriter stuff you'll dig him:

Skylark Lounge is not too far from downtown and usually has some kind of blues, soul, jazzy something going on...

Continental Club usually has some kind of jump blues/dance music if you like dancing (or at least bouncing in your chair.) It will be packed on a Sat night though.

If you're into old time country/country swing Donn's Depot or Broken Spoke. They will also be crowded AF on weekends.

Menchaca is as far south as you can go in Travis county (which is a good thing). IMHO, most of the good venues for music in Austin are no where near the convention center.

Wasn't tpp bad when I gigged there, but that was 30 years ago, lol!
