I have one of these, and it's great.

I use the DI all the time. I don't really care for the scrambler, tech21 in front of it is better than the scrambler, but some people dig it.

A great, but pricey, tilt-back combo are the Eich BC112 or the BC112 Pro.

The hartke is light weight which is a huge plus.

I have the RB-1001 version of this:

And it is portable (fit behind the seats in my extended cab Frontier), quiet enough for a practice amp, loud enough to keep up with pretty much any FoH system, and has rock solid tone. The DI is selectable pre/post eq. The effects loop is great, l can't say enough good things about it.

I did have to replace the original casters, but I have had the amp for 20 years or so...

Unfortunately the Hartke kickback does not have an extension speaker out. You can either run the internal speaker or unplug it and connect a cab but not both.

That's a shame. Needs an update.

I have an Acoustic B100c and I like it - in fact, it's my only combo amp (all the rest are cabs and heads). It's not an Acoustic like back in the day and it is GC's "house brand" amp, but I've never had any problems with it and it has a good sound. For the price, it's a solid choice.

I'm REALLY kicking around getting one of these:

Single 12 combo with Tech's SansAmp tone stack feeding the speaker . . . . and an XLR direct out. Drives a second, same size cabinet (my FAVORITE speaker stand !) and meets the weight / dimension targets for me.

Of course, before I'd screw those dreadful tilt-back Fender chrome arms into some poor amp, ya could use something like one of these for a suitably-sized combo:

Second on the Acoustic B100C. I really like mine. Full featured without being over the top or overpriced, small enough for home, big enough for the coffee shop.

Behringer BXL3000. Nice inexpensive kickback with DI output, 300 watts and 1 15" speaker. I had no problems with it except it was kinda heavy!

wow, abarson , nice list/effort/post! good info.

every time i see a tilt-back i think about 'em. real handy in non-IEM situations, sitting close/next to a monitor cabinet with the right mix. i've used heads+wedges for those scenarios but a lightweight tilt-back combo could be nice...and handy-er.
