Who builds a Fender Bassman AB165 preamp??

To my ears, there’s nothing more lush than a P bass thru an old tube Bassman head. Question is, does ANYBODY build a preamp using the AB165 preamp circuit- volume, bass, treble- done. I wanna take THAT warmth and run it thru about 800 watts of Class D. So, is there something out there?- Noble? Shaw? Arkham Oracle? Yeah, a Demeter or Alembic F1-X are candidates, but would like something more ‘compact’…non-rack mounted. ToneCraft 383 is close, but more ‘flip-top’. Let’s hear from the Tone-Blown mofo’s…

You could try the Sushibox Underground Accelerator. I have one. It is a tube preamp pedal with a fender tone stack. Also, Origin Effects BassRig '64 Black Panel. The Line 6 HX Stomp also has a Fender amp emulation. It's listed under the guitar amps, however, it works fine for bass.

The fender bassman amps might be a good start. It’s not exactly an AB165 but if you want a tube bassman pre into a class D power amp, that’s the vintage channel on this amp.

If you really want a small stand-alone preamp, maybe one of the sushi box pedals. The particle accelerator was based on the alembic f2b though it’s been replaced by a newer design

The magic of the AB165 is bridging the two preamps though. All of the preamps I have seen are only a single channel.

The Origin Effects BASSRIG ’64 Black Panel has been one of the more highly acclaimed and readily available preamps with a Fender Blackface voicing.

Listened to the bass channel demo. Yeah it's close enough. The Blackbird SR-71 green channel sounds closer and it appears the channels can be bridged or maybe the "creamy" switch is just for the drive channel. Ive been interested in the Milkman pedals as well but have not heard a bass demo of it.
