RhytmEarl.....

Didn't your mother teach you how to spell your name?......

I should save the name explanation so I can cut 'n paste it. Here we go again... :D

We took our band name Rythm Earl from the Stanley Booth book Rythm Oil. We were going to use Oil but thought of all the KY jokes people would make and went with Earl. When I needed a forum handle way back when, I used our band name but spelled it Rhytm so as to distinguish 'me' from the band.

Here's our old band poster.

tl/dr Yes I know how to spell rhythm.

PS: The new band just picked a new name. "The Dick Chandelier Experience".
We are letting the name sit for a week to see if we still want it next rehearsal.

I am open to poster ideas though....

Rythm Oil was a great read.
I believe he has a follow up, Blues Dues, which would of course be another awesome band name.

Interesting new band name, too. You are aware of this, I presume?

We laughed till our sides hurt when somehow we came up with the Chandelier Experience. It's not gonna fly though. For the much too obvious reasons. I still chuckle at the name.

I will have to search out Blues Dues. He's a good writer.

Until I joined TB, I wasn't aware such a thing as TNC even existed.
Here on the civilised side of the Atlantic, I can safely state that the mere existence of it is just one more example of how you folks in the colonies lost your way...
One of the good things about this site is how many people are disgusted by the concept.
Of course, there's always some sad deluded lost souls who claim to like it, but honestly, they're fooling no-one.
need to add cross ponders to the list.
