I still have certain “stock licks” that are in my vocabulary that when I whip them out, I know where i stole them from.
I’ve got a couple I stole from jaco, a couple from Stanley, a couple from Rocco prestia, a couple slap licks that I stole from Louis Johnson and Larry Graham, a couple I stole from Geddy Lee and Geezer Butler
They have mutated over the years to the point of not being direct ripoffs, (more like indirect ripoffs) But those were the guys I aped pretty heavily when I was coming up.

I have no idea. I don't think my playing is similar to any of the players who inspired me in my younger years. Someone told me one of my recent recordings sounded like David Bowie combined with the Butthole Surfers. Neither of which have ever been huge inspirations for me.

I think I sound like me - I've gone to great lengths to find my individual techniques and style. However, I'll always have echoes of George Porter, Jr. and Phil Lesh in my playing.

Closest I can think of is Geezer Butler, but that's situational. That only comes out when the song lends itself to blues scale bass riffing and fills.

Other than that, Chris Squire maybe? It's hard to say anyone sounds like him of course, but I've internalized a lot of his sense of melody & phrasing, and it does come out in certain ways.
