You guys are amazing! I though only me and my tech pals did this (with everything)! The screws come out before the plugs go in. I have always been able to take things apart and put them back together. Sometimes there are not too many parts left over
Always, usually to remove a battery because I don't use 'em and they add weight. Now that most of my newer pedals are non-battery oriented I look for notes from the builder.
+1 on battery removal. I don't want any extra weight on my pedal board, or any leakage.
If it comes without a battery I'll generally have no reason to go digging in it though, seeing as how I have the electrical engineering background of a gerbil.
