Who has a unique pedal that no one else owns?

just ignore the Sansamp, which I know is very very famous.

I'm sure, there are people who have the same pedals, but for bass most of them aren't that common.

First row from left to right:

1. DOD Meat Box - Subharmonic Generator
2. Digitech XP-300 Space Station - weird Reverse Delays, Pitch Shifts, Ring Modulations and other spacey stuff.. everything Expression pedal controllable
3. DOD Buzz Box - super crazy 2 octave down/Rat like distortion pedal
4. Boss PS-2 Pitch Shifter/Delay - Very lo-fi sounding pitch shifter, built in oscillator, noisy, oscillating delays

Back row from left to right:

1. DOD Death Metal - sick metal distortion without a gain knob
2. (sansamp)
3. Danelectro Sitar Swami - Sitar Simulator, but doesn't sound at all like a sitar. I read on harmony central, that this should be the worst pedal ever made and thought myself... I have to have it! It's a distortion/flanger/reverb/Octave pedal all in one and you can't control anything but the Tone...
4. DOD Gonkulator Modulator - Ring Modulator/distortion
5. DOD Attacker - Compressor/distortion/fuzz

Like any other effect, distortion/fuzz is a tool. It can help create a particular feeling within a song that can't be otherwise acheived. I agree 100% that if a couple of guitards are laying down a wall heavy distortion, a cleaner bass tone often helps to keep the rhythm of the song defined. My guitar player and I take the approach that if he's playing pretty clean, I can get away with more dirt in my sound (if it works for the song). There is one song in particular we do where I'm using a thick fuzz tone for the whole song. It works becuase his tone is pretty clean strummed chords or a piercing melodic line. For us, the juxtaposition of clean and fuzzed sounds makes it work.

As for unique effects, I really don't have anything special.

A lot of people are naming of standard “factory issue” effects, claiming that no one else on the forum has them. But is this truly a unique pedal as the forum topic states? Sure there are a lot of rare pedals, but that does not equal unique.

I would say anything customized with special features or paint job or enclosure would more accurately reflect the topic, not rarity. Obviously anything homemade would be unique as well.

That I certainly do. You should look into the REV 3 upgrade. Devi boosts the fuzz level and adds in a bendable LED that hangs over the pedal for better/more direct control of the eye. The thing gets absurdly loud with the upgrade, it's awesome. Also if you have the version when the knobs were still functioning backward she makes them normal...I don't know if I like that part though, the backward knobs added to the charm/quirkyness.
