He did. He often thinks, schemes and works out bass ideas while long boarding. He also applies some of his ideas across platforms (bass and board) to see if stuff will work out.
You will note that the boards are in traditional instrument finishes with matching bursted wheels.
I got into longboarding a couple of years ago, started getting into a bit of the Downhill & Freeride stuff. Was just starting to get the hang of it and getting some half decent slides.
Then my friend stacked it and broke his wrist. He couldn't play guitar for weeks, and it hurt for months. That scared me off a little, these days I just cruise mostly.

That's my deck, easily the most comfortable cruisy feeling deck I have ever ridden. Beats the pants off a Loaded Dervish, and its made of hemp
I actually manage the longboarding section of a boardsports store, so I'm still pretty involved in the sport. We have a fairly big local crew here and have one of the best hills in Australia for racing which is pretty awesome, so we get a fairly good turn out when events are held.
