Who is your music idol?

Steve Harris, he made me want to play bass. Crazy good, fast ,and tasteful. He is a triple threat.
Mike Oldfield and Frank Zappa. Their music always seems to present a challenge when playing it. Those challenges including technique, speed, endurance, thorough theory knowledge, and many more. Their music also IMHO is very good music that can capture any and most all emotions (just in case some people might think that it is all technical mechanics and not "actual" music). But that is just my two cents.
Oh, him and Entwistle just make me feel very very worthless. But the thing is, they are very godlike at soloing (Flea too), but they don't really have lots of killer bass lines.

No one. There are several people I admire greatly and I'm very impressed with them, bassists as well as other musicians. But I can't say there is anyone I actually idolize.

Bass specific
Willie Weeks. It's all about the song. He'll throw down rock, country, pop, rap, jazz, you name it, and it'll sound great.
Andrew Levy. I just love his vibe. He plays what I hear in my head. I can't explain it any better than that.
Guitar specific
Stevie Ray Vaughn. I'm glad I got to see him before his untimely death.
John McLaughlin. He is fearless and flawless. Such an incredible combination for an artist to have.
Over all
Peter Gabriel. He just surrounds himself with amazing talent and then writes songs that I can listen to over and over. Billy Joel is a pretty close second. His songs can be so deep. Summer, Highland Falls still stands as one of my favorites ever. The words are uncompromisingly smart, effective and applicable.

Nico de Gaillo. She's my everything. <3 She has an incredible voice, and I've always found her strangely attractive. Too bad she's not involved in any bands at the moment. I'd love to hear more from her.
