Double Bass Who makes this bass?

Hi ,I bought this bass at a online auction.I thought it was a yamaha silent bass prototype. I once saw Ron Carter play one in concert. It sounds great with the addition of a bass exciter and it's bowable.No information online about it.The only marings are the word basics at the base of the neck.Please help a bassist out.Thanks. P.S. the body is fiberglass.

Is the word really "basics"? It looks like it could be a Bassix, a UK-made bass.

This instrument seems to be using a traditional metal baby bass bridge, with the traditional magnetic pickup system under it.
