Who plugs straight in? What do you use?

There are a lot of interesting responses here. I regret not asking for more opinions or insight on why you chose what you did. Thanks for the replies.

My response was...
Fender Prophecy (equipped with SD 1/4 Pounder P and J) into Ashdown ABM 500 into Ashdown ABM 610.
Reason - I like the sound of the P and J combo. Love the tube drive from the ABM head and love the power coupled with tweeterless 610.
I do have the necessity of distortion in 1 or 2 songs, but on the whole my sound comes from bass-amp-cab and I am loving it.

Yes! I manage this with two quarter inch plugs, one being right angled, separated by 15 feet of shielded coaxial cable. :ninja:

Bass(es) & amp. Let's have it. Tuner can be an exception, otherwise no pedals, no nothing. What gear do you use?

:bawl:
Oh, oh, should have read the OP first instead of just the title.:scowl: So a bass, cable, Ampeg V4-B through either a Traynor 115 or Peavey 210 or both. I know mixing cabs is frowned upon by the TB masses, but all the 210 does for me is increase volume and add crispness to the 15".
