What I call straight in is with my rack compressor and rack bbe, and another compressor if I have it.

I "need those", the Mesa 400+ sounds amazing, but my basses need to have some more sonic love

never used a pedal in my life, so it's a very early reissue P-bass with LaBella flats and a cable into whatever backline is provided. my own cabs are a modified Ampeg BT15(eminence kappa pro), Kustom 2-15 with JBL D140's and a Bag End S15D-L. heads are an Ampeg Micro-VR and a heavily modified blackface Fender Bassman running 6550's, di of choice is a Radial JDI

I usually go straight in - 1976 Ampeg SVT with two 8x10s cabinets with a 1976 Fender precision. I like my rig loud and driving like Lemmy! I plug into one-normal and then bridge two-bright into two-normal

EQ for channel one: Volume @ 10 o' clock; Treble @ 8 o' clock; Midrange all the way up; Bass @ 10 o' clock; ultra-hi off, mid switch on 0, ultra-lo off

EQ for channel two: Volume @ noon; treble and bass cranked; both ultra-hi and ultra-lo on

Warwick Corvette $$5vr -> Ampeg SVP-BSP -> Carver 2.0i 1000W (modded to be mono) -> 4x10 Carvin 'red-eye' and sometimes a MesaBoogie cab that has a 15 and 2x10 and an 8 in it (I think, it's my studio-mates cab. I love the thing, but don't know much about it). I also run a Fender tuner (cylops style) and a pedal board on the dirty channel of my preamp. the SVP-BSP has a clean and dirty channel (both can run an fx loop).

This is my head. The SWR is just a practice head that I have, but not my main head, although a sweet head just the same.
