Just last weekend purely by accident I stumbled across a PBS special featuring Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. I was instantly hooked on Catherine's cool lines on her '66 Precision!

The latest bassist I discovered that really inspired me to play and practice more was John Myung.
Seiji Kamed - of the Japanese band Tokyo Jihen (Tokyo Incidents). I think that dude is flat-out amazing for serving the songs in those quirky styles they do, and love his grindy tone.

Mark Stoermer of The Killers has been my most recent "want to know who wrote that line" guy.
Not all his lines are killer lines, but he serves the songs very well and I like his approach to the basslines nontheless.

Yeah-I'm liking his stuff, too!!! For my recent discovery, it's Tony Grey. He reminds me a lot of Matthew Garrison and Janek Gwizdala. Dude is no joke!!!
A Groove is a Terrible Thing to Waste!
Broke out "Fashion Nugget" by Cake after many years. About an hour later I discovered Victor Damiani and Gabe Nelson on the rest of the albums...damn.
Wow. Check this guy Quintin Berry out! Total groove master and such a weird way playing his bass!
