Why are all the Asian imports backordered?

Wanting to try out an inexpensive 6-string, I ordered the ESP B-206 last November. It was backordered then and is still backordered. Same thing with Peavey. Same with Ibanez. What's up with these factories not being able to meet demand? It seems to be across the board.

Have you contacted more than one store? A quick google product search found the LTD in stock at Sam Ash.

I just bought (& love) my Ibanez SR506.
Several stores, around here, had it in stock.
I just went with the store that gave me the best price.
