88 = I was a fan of NASCAR for a while, and Dale Jarrett drove the #88 UPS car. I got a kick out of that team, especially the "racing the truck" commercials. I even bought a scale model of the truck with the flames on the side. Good comedy there. Much funnier than other teams, so it became my favorite.

I always enjoyed history,History Channel is one of my 2 fav. channels (other being Nat Geo).

But I really have a thing for WW II history since I was a kid,I was reading about WW II and I read something like "Wehrmacht maschinen gewehr type 42",not exactly that but as a 16 year old it sounded so cool to my ears (German sounds cool to me),I changed it to machine gewehr for some reason I don't remember.

It's been my interwebs name as long as I remember,cba to change it as I'll most likely forget the new one. :p

Nickname given to me by a crazy (grammy award winning crazy) record producer at 4 am on a recording session. He created a whole fictitious family/tribal history for me as well during the course of that rant, involving banditry, smuggling, hashish and underage Burmese girls. It stuck with me.

My last name is often mispronounced as Monet, even though there's clearly no 'e' in it. :confused: So it's been a nickname of mine for a long time. Plus I dig Impressionist art (and music). :D

Mine was a nickname given by some Latin-American friends during law school. My given name is Edmund, which is "Edmundo" in Spanish. I go by "Ned," so they just added the "N" to "Edmundo," and there you have it.

I love Cape Town, by the way. Visited last year and had a wonderful time.

Crash goes back to my college days when I would crash at friend's dorms, apartments, houses and I crashed many a good party as well. Someone commented on it and the next thing I know everyone was calling me Crash. I guess if I would have been a famous bass player I would have been known only as "Crash", kinda like Sting but much cooler and more fun to hang around.
