I just put my email address down for my nic here because I didn't realize I'd be posting so much. The email originally comes from a figure in my dissertation: "Hrodbert" is the original spelling for St. Rupert of Salzburg, who came there in the year 696.

If I ever get motivated enough to ask a mod to change it, I'll have to come up with something badass and bassy and musical and I just don't have the energy.

From a dog I found in a creek 14 years ago. Could best be described as a pug on stilts. He was crazy and I called him nutdog. Stinkiest dog ever. You could bathe him and he smelled like shampoo on stink. His breath stank and he let the most rank farts you can imagine.

Had to put him down a couple of years ago. Miss him. That's him in the avatar. My wife's sister did the pet portrait.

88 = I was a fan of NASCAR for a while, and Dale Jarrett drove the #88 UPS car. I got a kick out of that team, especially the "racing the truck" commercials. I even bought a scale model of the truck with the flames on the side. Good comedy there. Much funnier than other teams, so it became my favorite.

It's been my interwebs name as long as I remember,cba to change it as I'll most likely forget the new one. :p

Oh. And I guess I should answer the actual original topic.

About a bazillion years ago I was in a band where all the members had pompous overblown nicknames for what we did. For example when introducing the band, we wouldn't say Eric was our keyboardist. We'd call him 'The Chairman Of The Boards'. Yes I know it's lame. But it was the '80's. People liked a lot of lame things back then. So when they introduced me, they wouldn't just mention that I played the bass. They would include that I wrote all our lyrics. So I wouldn't just be Wayne. I'd be something like "The Lord Of The Low Frequencies, The Bard Of Burleson" (and then Wedgewood, and then Arlington)... and then eventually my name.

By the time that last part had become 'The Bard Of Arlington' some of my friends had taken to calling me Bardman in normal day to day situations. When I started going online and needed a username i generally picked Bardman. When I got to TB it was taken. But while I was trying to register and finding I couldn't be Bardman, my radio was playing Bad To The Bone. So I put Bardman and Bad To The Bone together and got Munjibunga. But since he was already using it I made up Bard2dbone.

Roughly 10 years ago, I was out with a bunch of friends to go see Hollow Man, and the girl I was sort of dating saw a poster for the "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" movie, and made a joke - "Timmy Neutron: Boy Genius..."

Without missing a beat, my best friend turned around and said, "more like Timmy Neurotic, you mean," and continued on her way to the theater.

Next thing I know, my friends are calling me Neurotictim, and it's stuck.

Before that I was Stormbringer, the sword from Michael Moorcock's awesome "Elric of Melnibone" series, and one of the progenitors of modern fantasy.
