Like the title says. The background is that I've taken on amateur bass building for charity over the last 18 or so months, and I would love tuners that aren't the generic clover or Y shapes. But...I don't wanna spend $25 each or more than $100 per set on basses I plan to give away.
While we're at it, why are there so few shapes for bass tuners in the first place? It's pretty much just the 2 common shapes and (less commonly) lollipops. But if you look at vintage import basses, there's a few different shapes at least! Like the heart-shaped tuners on old Ibanezes are lovely...why aren't those a thing anymore?
