Why do you suck?

The first step to change is admitting you have a problem. So on with the self deprecation...WHY DO YOU SUCK?

I'll start:

I suck because I'm afraid to leave my paycheck for a chance at finding a career I enjoy.

I suck because I procrastinate too much.

I procrastinate too much also.

Plus sometimes I'm really lazy.

I don't improvise well. I have a problem getting the notes in my head to come out my fingers. I can spit back anything thta's been laid out for on record or tab, but pulling stuff out of my butt is a real challenge. I guess I'm doomed to coverland, that's cool though. It's really about seeing the audience enjoy themselves for me. I could care less if anyone thinks I'm a bitchin' bass player.

You know, negative reinforcement is not good for one's self-esteem. Comments like these can become self-fulfilling prophecies. If you keep saying "I suck because...", your psyche will subconciously cause you to fail in exactly that manner.

Ha! Who says I slept through college?

On the other hand, if you don't identify and come to grips with the source of your problems, you are not likely to rectify these problems. I'm a firm believer in addressing your weaknesses, not ignoring them.

Hey man, you can do whatever you want. I just felt like regurgitating some buzzwords I remembered in an effort to validate the student loans I'm paying. You know, get some mileage out of my factoids.

I improvise well. BUT I have a major problem with remembering other peoples songs.

I love grooving......man, pink floyd is my favorite band...and I'm suprised that I know money...I don't know any of their other bass lines

*Tongue in Cheek*
But to me it's not about the audience enjoying themselves.
It's really about them thinking that I'm a really bitchin' bass player

*Tongue out of Cheek*
