Why does Nick Beggs wear a skirt on stage?

ahhh, a kilt issue.

IMO Nick was wearing skirts, even if on another man it would be considered a kilt. Does that make it any clearer, lol?

I am a fine boy of strong celt heritage, and I have worn a kilt at many social occasions in my life. I have never felt even the least bit gay, nor thought someone might think I was, nor cared if they did so. I look good in a kilt, too. Damn good. :D

Well, I have mine, with my clan's tartan.
Having been in and around a local Celtic rock band, along with my wife(who was a full time member)for almost as long as this thread has been in existence, in addition to being a fan of major bands like the Real McKenzies, Dropkick Murphys, etc, after reading some of the comments in this I realized I had lost sight that the cultural ignorance and manhood insecurity(often due to apparel)that's so rampant today existed a decade and a half ago.
Anyway, I wonder how much flack these guys got(but they were Canadian)…

I assume because he likes it?

Though the bass player of the Belgian alternative rock band dEUS, who became quite internationally famous in the mid 90's, would occasionally wear dresses on stage too, but allegedly that was because you had to have a female bass player if you wanted to be cool on the alternative/indie rock scene at that point in time.
