Why dosen't anyone ship USPS?

FedEx in my area sucks, UPS costs a ton ($50-$60) to ship 2 the east coast but the post office only cost me $23 to ship from SoCal to PA...why don't more people use them?

I agree but they've always had what I ship with them on the day they said they would or only one day late

It depends on how big the package is and where it is going. I use USPS, UPS and Fed Ex, whichever happens to be the best price for whatever I'm shipping.

for me its the hassle of going to the post office. the one in my town is terrible. no ac, and ALWAYS lines that last forever. if its something small like a pedal or whatnot I will wait it out and use usps because it is way cheaper, but for instruments and amps, my local ups store is just way more convenient, and I know the guy in there and always get a chance to catch up

I use USPS almost exclusively. Their tracking isn't "tracking", it's delivery confirmation. They've improved somewhat over the past year or so but you still get the occasional package that doesn't even show that it's in the postal system until after it's delivered.

I have been shipping with USPS for several years with no issues. Have not lost a bass yet.

Shipped and have other members ship via USPS, never a problem.

Especially for international, you can save hundreds...

Size restrictions and price generally a bit higher than FedEx Ground which is the best to send basses within the US IMO.

USPS is cheapest for International and small stuff...

Sorry! I gots to have tracking! USPS can easily lose a pkg. with no way to track it's movements. I'll never ship an expensive item through USPS. I have used it for other less expensive items.

A couple of years ago I was doing a lot of eBay (selling), shipping USPS. I always paid for tracking. One shipment hadn't arrived in a reasonable time, so I checked with the post office. The guy told me that they usually don't bother scanning the tracking slips, and they had no way of actually verifying if the package was delivered or not. He suggested I wait a couple more days and call the buyer.

I have a UPS account and schedule pickup with my driver and at the most, its been $18 to California. The UPS store is a ripoff, and im pretty sure weight is the most cost affecting factor with them. The most expensive part of shipping for me is materials and I never go for buying in bulk either. For me UPS is cheaper, easier, and better

USPS is junk. Priority is insanely expensive and Parcel Post is junk. While living in Maine, everyone would ship to me Parcel Post and they would take sometimes 10 business days. If they would have shipped UPS or FedEx it would have been half the time.

I find FedEx to be the best. Cheapest, fastest, easiest. Best claims support by far. USPS has none, and UPS weasels out as much as they can. Both damage claims I've had with FedEx they sent me a check within 7-10 days, no questions asked.

FedEx is cheapest? UPS has almost always been cheaper for me.

UPS can charge as much as double than FedEx and packages always arrive looking like they survived a nuclear war...
