Why every bass player needs a good woman!!!

Ibanez in general makes some of the best designed, best playing and best sounding basses for a reasonable cost out there. Hard to slag them for the money.

I've been playing this bass solely since I received it. First off, this thing holds tuning extremely well; I've pounded everything from rock (Rush, Triumph...), Reggae, blues, funk, and a good amount of scales to get my hands used to her.
I put a comfort strap on it which took care of 98% of the neck dive. Note: Neck dive is really not all that bad, but I've never had any basses with this problem if you call it one.
The Elixir strings hold up very nice. The only issue I have is that I need to do the Nate Watts trick once in a while, and lick the fingertips as they do tend to grab a bit. I may try a set of Slinky's for the next set.
I've messed around with the EQ-uing; it has a great tone of its own, but I have dialed it in to sound like my Geddy Jazz, along with a Rick tone.
I would highly recommend this bass to anyone A) on a budget, B) looking for a great 6 string bass.

I've got the same, though a few years prior. I had the slinky's on it recently, but am moving over to roto's. The slinky's are not bad, overall. And a few $$ cheaper. As for the bass, I absolutely LOVE it. It's in the shop for some service right now, and these have been the longest days of my life. I always end up with Ibanez. Great instruments, good cost, and really fits my personal playing style. Congrads, dude, you've got a good many years of enjoyment on that!

I thank God for my supportive wife.She lets me buy the gear I want so long as we can afford it. Case and point- she let me use some of the income tax money(2012) to buy my Genz Benz 6.2

It as my wife's idea for me to make purchases of my last 4 basses, including my precious Zon.
She even came up with my screen name...'zon6c-f.'
Zon story -short version: 2001 She said.. OK..$100 MORE AND YOU GET A 6?? DO IT. Only thing she fussed about was when I confessed years later that we could have gotten LED markers. She exclaimed, "THAT WAS YOUR GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY..COULD HAVE GOTTEN WHATEVER YOU WANTED.. AND YOU DIDN'T ORDER THE L E D's??"
Flash forward to 2009..My birthday.... She bought my G C Acoustic B200 Combo.. Went in to purchase MM 5er. OK..ready to buy MM , then I tried a Squier, which was identical in nearly every way except $1400 LESS... She found the Squier as my new main-go-to-bass and she ordered top of line H S C for my Squier.
No pics..No wife? Not allowed to post pics as per her wishes. However, she is the only pretty female in the first crowd scene/ race scene in Footloose 2011, filmed in Senoia, Ga.

Vincent, I just got the bass back and the roto's are perfect. I use them on my (Ibanez SR500...yeah, same exact bass but with 4 strings...), and I love 'em. I'm thrilled the Roto's on the six feel exactly the same. I'm a fingerstyle player, and the "grip" they allow on the right hand/picking allow for various sounds and technique alone. It makes sense in my mind...LOL ~Most other strings are "slippery", per say. I don't think I'll be using any others from here on out.
