Torino Red is my favorite !I LOVE Fender-shaped-objects (FSO's) in colors taken from 50's and 60's automotive colors.
Have you considered not buying things that you don't want? Why do we need this?

Fender Player II Jazz Bass Lavender Haze
The Jazz Bass has always been Fender’s more refined low-end machine—sleeker lines, a narrower nut, and an unmistakable mid-century silhouette that feels as modern today as it did in 1960. In our CME Exclusive Lavender Haze finish, that sophistication gets a new sheen: a soft-smoldering amethyst...www.chicagomusicexchange.com
Um... it has stack knobs.Give me more. Stack knobs and a big fat ground strap.
As the owner of a Fender with matching headstock, I like Fenders policy of using it sparingly. Makes my bass more unique and interesting, he he he!i dislike matching headstocks personally. they should be outlawed.
My $250 Bacchus BJB1RSM are great enough as a jazz bass. I found no reason to own this player II J .Why do we need this?

Part of me would want to go mint pearl. I also wonder how purple mirror would look on this.Mint!
Um... it has stack knobs.
I heard that it makes the player much more relaxed.I wonder how the lavender affects the tone.
That's because there are are about 1,000,000 old farts still playing Fender basses. LOLThey don't publish numbers, but Fender is apparently making about a half billion in revenue every year. So whatever the reason why, it seems to be working out for them.
Too funny! I didn't even notice that. It's actually a Ducati White Matte Dingwall Super P.Perhaps a bit ironic that the bass in your avatar appears to be a similar color? I do understand that it's due to lighting, but still.
I am sure plenty of people will think the lavender haze looks nice. Far less garish than some basses I have played.

Actually, the purpose of the post was to share the new Fender product I saw in the CME e-mail.Huh. You posted no context whatsoever on what you find objectionable with this bass. What about it seems unnecessary to you? Seriously, backing up what you find wrong about this with a few words to clarify your feelings would be helpful, don't ya think?
Let's see...stacked knobs? Matching headstock? Price? Wait a long-dang minute, IS IT THE COLOR? Oh nelly. This is another post from someone who would NEVER TOUCH a bass who's color wasn't 'manly' enough for them, ok I get it.
These posts pop up from time to time in response to pink, purple, lavender, sparkly, heart-shaped, kitten graphic, etc basses. I assume that's what this is all about, and it's just tired and weak. And comments that "a young lady somewhere may pick up bass because of this" are in the same weak-ass ballpark as the OP's post. It's a color, not an indicator of someone's masculinity, or perceived lack thereof.
Really, it's 2026, let's just end this already. If this is what you're posting about, next time just don't. Do better.
You did get 5+ pages of responses, though, so good on ya, bud.![]()
No. I buy everything, all the time, and will be forced to buy this too....that is why I am angry.Have you considered not buying things that you don't want?

Maybe because it's nicer than twenty different bursts, ten blue, several black, white, and other typical Fender colors? Why do we need this?
