Why iPhone and not Android?

I don't think you will be disappointed at all with an iphone 4, although I would recommend the "4S" as it has a dual processor. The quality of the camera for the iphone is pretty damn good considering it's a small, totally digital, cell phone camera.

My wife had an android phone for several years, but now we both have iPhones. Android has better navigation than iPhone. with the iPhone you have to purchase a separate turn by turn navigation app, and most are not as good as Google Nav. That is about the only thing she misses about the Droid, overall she likes the iPhone more.

I wanna get the "5" too a little while after it comes out. unfortunately I have to wait another year or so as I used my 2 year upgrade to get the 4S for my girlfriend to replace her lost droid.

You can get free step by step directions with the iphone map, it just doesn't speak them to you, you have to read them, but it will list out for you all the directions streets and distances for every step of your journey...

Huh?? The iPhone was AT&T only for several years before it was finally offered to Verizon. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you. The iPhone was never "primarily Verizon"

It entirely depends on the app itself. There are at least tens of thousands that are free. I've DL'ed many many good ones for a buck or something. I bought a nice tuner for my instruments that was like 2.99 and better than any other mic based tuner I've used. You can filter your search on the phone to only show you free apps if you don't want to pay for them.

I've done one swap for a defective iPhone this month. Just this week I've done 5 swaps on Androids and had 3 Androids that the customers refused to swap because they didn't want that type of device anymore due to ongoing issues with the software. I've also swapped out a few defective Blackberrys.
My personal numbers speak volumes to me at least....without even factoring in the spreadsheets that are available to all employees in regards to all devices swapped out and the reason for it.

This is *highly* misleading. One company makes the iPhone: Apple. How many manufacturers make Android-based devices? Far more than I can think of off the top of my head. Even individual manufacturers generally make many more than one Android-based device. Soooo, you are comparing a few different variations of the iPhone to, what, easily 50+ devices?

I've owned an iPhone 3gs, and now I have a Samsung Galaxy S2. Each one had its pros and cons. The iPhone's OS is a clinic in elegance, simplicity, and buttery smoothness. The GS2 (all I can use to compare) is rougher around the edges, but you can essentially do anything with it. Want to use a different launcher? Have at it. Want to transfer files to/from any computer with the simplicity of a thumb drive? Simple. Want to edit files, filenames, ID tags, etc. right on the device? Of course! Want to easily catalog pics in whatever way your heart desires? Meh, kid's stuff. Apple doesn't really allow any of that!

I like that I can sync everything through Google with my HTC Incredible. Droid has seemed to be a lot more open and friendly as far as what you can use and what you can do with it, vs. Apple's attitude of "us and only us" which I feel kind of holds some users "hostage" in a way.

Thank you. This is the first time someone has ever given me examples of what a non-iPhone can do. The file transfer difference is significant. I hate the iTunes synch ordeal....what a bloated crap software.
