Why no straplocks?

the problem with just leaving the strap on the bass using the "washer method" is that a lot of adjustable straps have a buckle. When you jam the strap in there with the bass it will gouge your bass. Maybe not every time, but it will contact the finish occasionally.

True, true, it can happen if you have a strap with an adjustable buckle. Strap could also wear the finish down by the strap posts over time.

Nothing is perfect.

We usually suggest you just install the regular strap lock behind your input/strap button. As long as it is pre drilled and goes into the endblock you are golden.
