Why scooping the mids is BAD

There is one temperature where the Celsius scale is equal to the Fahrenheit scale. Literally one number. And that number is ... -40. To achieve the full effect of 528, you must experience 528 light and sound at ... -40. And you literally can, in one of my empty grain bins in North Dakota, for $79 per hour. But hurry, reservations are limited. We are also working at a feverish pace on the abandoned missile silo we bought at auction to provide you an opportunity for the full concierge 528 / -40 experience in the near future. Thank you, and stay tuned. -Dr. Grizzly

Most any brand of 3 band eq bass or amp I scoop the mids. If I don’t it sounds cheap.
FYI, this thread (title aside) is not really about scooping mids on your bass. I'm not chastising, you, just alerting you to an entertainment source - go back and read the thread; you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be a bit confused, but likely also very amused along the way.

I came across this video. Apparently 528 Hz is key to everything. Scooping your mids loses this frequency of course e.g. the Fender Rumble contour button drops it around 670 Hz. On the other hand, 741 Hz and 440 Hz is the devil and is promoted as a plot to make everyone sick for some reason so scooping those mids could be beneficial. I’m not sure.

At any rate this video discusses this but gets a little off topic and goes on and the narrator is very insistent about something or other.

The graphics are way cool and trippy.

It's not, it just makes it hard to hear yourself on stage.

10:15 sec of video proving once again that the capacity for human stupidity is almost infinite.

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer by any stretch, but since the advent of the internet, and YouTube in particular - a platform on which very stupid people seem to revel in not only proving how stupid they are, but also in attracting those who're even more stupid than they - I must say I'm beginning to feel a LOT more intelligent, LOL

He sells " ... the “miraculous” 528 musical medicine called OxySilver, that makes all colloidal silvers, all deadly antibiotics, and all risky vaccines, obsolete." :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
And tattoos your skin from the inside out -- it's called argyria -- turning you into Papa Smurf

Snake oil at its worst/best?

These guys are all chasing each other to the bottom of the barrel with their Deepak Choprawoo envy.

Sooner or later these charlatans descend into numerology or the pyramids. To quote the incredible Bugs Bunny, "What a maroon."
