I just went to the store and tried out the lh 500 with a hydrive 410, and the lh 500 sounds great and is really loud. But I think it's better to take the lh 1000 ... thx for all you're replies ... !

just bought it ! It's awesome, I can move it around every where I want with those great casters, it's really loud with a great limiter on it for cuting the "peaks" but the best feature is the tweeter it's really great and I'm gonna use it all the time !

Nice choice. I run that exact setup and it works great for me. Don't know if you've researched these yet, but for a reference point, a "flat" EQ is somewhere around 3-10-0 (bass,mid,treble)
Don't be afraid to use the passive jack either with an active bass. I've never had any issues "overloading" the pre this way. Anyhow, enjoy!
